This project addresses climate vulnerability and livelihood insecurity in northern Ghana by promoting dry season gardening and improved water resource management in climate-stressed rural communities.

Key Achievements
  • Establishment of community-managed dry season gardening schemes
  • Provision of irrigation infrastructure to support off-season vegetable production
  • Construction and fencing of gardening sites to reduce crop damage and farmer–herder conflicts
  • Training of beneficiaries in vegetable nursery establishment and agronomic practices
  • Formation and strengthening of garden management committees
  • Improved household food security and income, particularly among women
